KATE WHITCOMB grew up in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and started skiing as soon as she became too heavy for her parent’s backpack. She now lives in Ketchum, Idaho and ski for Sun Valley Ski Education foundation's Olympic Development Team and Fischer Skis. She is a full-time athlete training for the 2010 Olympic Games. I volunteer in a 5th grade classroom and am a Girls on the Run coach in my time between training.
