Public Gardens
In addition to the rich history examined by the local museums, Sun Valley is home to the Sawtooth Botanical Garden, a community resource showcasing native and cultivated plants that flourish at high altitude. Visit the site to see living exhibits of wildflowers and other plants that thrive in the Wood River Valley, learn about the five natural regions of Southern Idaho or pick your own raspberries. Wildflower walks depart from the Sawtooth Botanical Garden beginning on Memorial Day through the first week of August with special members-only pricing and drop-in rates available. Seasonal events include the annual 'Gimlets in the Garden' benefit, the 'Garden Tour' every July, and a holiday 'Lights in the Garden' display during the month of December.
