Skate Parks

In Ketchum:

Conveniently situated across from the Wood River YMCA en route to Warm Springs base area, Guy Coles was named after a particularly enthusiastic public recreation proponent, Mayor Guy Coles. While this concrete skate park designed and built by Portland, Oregon-based Dreamland Skate Parks is a bit smaller than its Hailey counterpart, the fun and challenging features are just as popular. Skateboarders of all ages and abilities rock this park, which includes two large bowls, a vertical wall and rails. Older kids cool off afterward with a dip in the Big Wood River, accessible by a side trail to what locals call The Big Rock, also a public access park area.

In Hailey:

Hailey Skate Park is proud to be one of the top skate parks in the nation, built in 2002 by renowned Dreamland Skateparks, and significantly expanded in 2012.  This fabulous public city facility, located in Wertheimer Park next to the Hailey Welcome Center and Hailey Rodeo Arena, challenges even the most experienced and daring skaters, and hosts many major skateboard contests and events throughout the summer and fall months.

In June, the Hailey Skate Park hosts an important stop of the Wild West Skateboard Contest Series. This national series features Jam format contests, gear and cash prizes, a massive raffle, DJs, music and artists, and lots of high energy. In order to be eligible for the Overall WWSC Series Title, competitors must compete in at least 4 of the 6 competitions.
