Golf

Long days, sunshine, and warm weather make Sun Valley an ideal golf setting. Nestled in the valley, three public golf courses offer the recreational and serious golfer a chance to tee off in one of the nations finest resort areas. Sun Valley offers a championship course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

Golf Digest ranked Sun Valley Resort number 52 in the nation. The article titled, "Simply the Best," states that Sun Valley is "Deliberately unhurried, you can ride, hike, take an ice-skating lesson or attend the opera (symphony).  The golf is only the best in the state." And it has only gotten better with the opening of the first nine holes of a new, 18-hole Donald Knott championship golf course that will join the acclaimed 18-hole course at the resort, and the second nine that came online in 2009. A state-of-the-art, 58,756-square-foot golf clubhouse and Nordic Center overlooks the course and 18-hole putting course.

Each course has its own schedule of clinics, as well as several annual tournaments.
