Silver Creek is the crown jewel of the Sun Valley area, a classic limestone spring creek with slow moving, gin-clear waters. It’s one of the most challenging fly fishing streams in the country, but you’ll be rewarded with some of the biggest wild trout you will ever see.
Fishing in the winter months offers great midge activity and therefore provides very good nymphing. On the Big Wood much of the fishing is catch and release during the winter months and features robust native rainbow trout. The warmer days that bring the afternoon temps above freezing can be exceptional.
