The 2022 Community Speaker Series presented by the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference and The Community Library welcomes award-winning author Imbolo Mbue for its first of three free lecture in Ketchum’s Forest Service Park. Imbolo Mbue is the author of How Beautiful We Were and the bestselling Behold the Dreamers, which won the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction and the Blue Metropolis Words to Change Prize and was an Oprah’s Book Club selection. Mbue is a native of Limbe, Cameroon, and a graduate of Rutgers and Columbia Universities, and lives in New York City. Bring your camp chairs, blankets, picnics, and join us! Book signing to follow.

The 2022 Community Speaker Series presented by the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference and The Community Library welcomes award-winning writer and playwright, Ayad Akhtar. Akhtar is the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He is the author of “Homeland Elegies,” which The New York Times selected as a Top 10 Book of 2020. His plays have also been awarded the Kennedy Prize for American Drama and an Obie Award, as well as Tony and Olivier nominations.
