Summer Theater Project for young adults will present The Addams Family. The Addams Family features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents. Summer Theater Project is a unique program where young adults learn about themselves through fully-produced, live performances of exciting material. Join the Sawtooth Botanical Garden (SBG) and friends for this popular spring summer wildflower walk series to some of our local area’s most diverse and spectacular habitats.  Walks happen rain or shine. Bring appropriate outerwear, sturdy walking shoes, water, sunscreen, hat and lunch. Some walks are appropriate for children age 7 years and older accompanied by an adult, but please leave your dog at home. He’s stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond, all in an effort to become a three-dimensional boy once more. The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF) is excited to host its 6th annual Olympic Day on June 20th from 4:00-8:00 pm at Sun Valley Community School’s Dumke Family Sagewillow Campus. An international movement, Olympic Day promotes sportsmanship, healthy habits and teamwork, and is a time for our community to come together. With a little friendly competition, all Wood River Valley children ages 7-18 can compete in the “Gauntlet of Games,” an epic obstacle course complete with slip-n-slide, pond crossing, tunnels, mazes and more. There will be prizes for top teams, KB’s food truck onsite and Olympians in attendance. The event is free and open to any kids ages 7-18, regardless of whether or not they are part of SVSEF. Join the City of Ketchum in celebrating summer’s start! The Summer Solstice Soiree features family fun, food and live music. The City of Ketchum is inviting residents and visitors to come on down to Town Square and celebrate as the longest day of the year gives way to our brilliant dark and starry skies. The city’s first-ever Summer Solstice bash is planned for Thursday, June 21, from 4 to 9 p.m. The family-friendly event marking the start of the summer season includes a balloon clown, face painters, jugglers, magicians, henna artist and art activities designed just for kids (and maybe a grown up or two!) Local food and beverage vendors will be serving it up with drink specials, and Nate Botsford and Band are booked to play a pair of 90-minute sets. There will also be special programming to celebrate June as “Dark Sky Month,” as well as the city’s status as a Dark Sky Community and its inclusion in the nation’s first Dark Sky Reserve.
