Ketchum Summer Youth Program

The City of Ketchum is offering camp sessions from June 8-August 6, followed by UK Soccer August 10-14. *Camp will be limited to the first 40 kids to register (Note: must be residents of Blaine County). *There will be no day-of drop-ins. All campers must be registered in advance. *Registration opens on Wednesday, May 20 at 10:00 am for the full 9-week program. Register curbside at the Terry Tracy Rec Center or online at ketchumidaho.org/registration. *Registration for individual-week(s) participants will open Monday, May 25 at 10:00 am. Availability will depend on space left after 9-week program sign-ups. *Some scholarships are available for the full summer programs, please email Julia Mace (jmace@ketchumidaho.org) ASAP to request an application. *Camper pods will consist of 10 or less campers with at least two staff members. Pods will use their own equipment, stay separate from other pods, and will stick together for the entire week. *Pods will rotate through activities like sports, arts and outdoor education. *We will have cleaning staff on-site every day. *We will not offer Friday adventures to allow for more time to clean and sanitize.

Riverfest Reimagined – Story Stations at Draper Wood River Preserve in Hailey, Howard Preserve in Bellevue, Colorado Gulch in Hailey, and Box Car Bend Preserve in the mid-Valley. The Wood River Land Trust Riverfest has been a beloved community event that brings us together after the Fourth of July Parade.  It’s been a celebration of our love of this place we all call home – featuring bands, kids’ activities, and local food booths all in the presence of our beloved Big Wood River.  This year, out of an abundance of caution for our friends and neighbors, the Wood River Land Trust is reimagining Riverfest. During this time of social distancing and COVID-19 uncertainty, more than ever, the Big Wood River has been a source of happiness for our community.  From walking along its banks while social distancing, to watching trout spawning below the Bow Bridge in Hailey, many of us have reconnected with and rediscovered our love of the Big Wood River. The celebrated Sun Valley on Ice opens July 4th and runs select Saturday nights through Labor Day, featuring an all-star lineup of some of the world’s finest skaters. Watch in awe as Olympians like Alex and Maya Shibutani dazzle you with their precision, power, and grace. Enjoy the show from rink-side seating, so close you can feel the cool of the ice, or dine on our decadent buffet from the terrace of the Sun Valley Lodge, all while taking in the fresh sounds and thrilling action of today’s top skaters. 2020 line-up of performers to come! The Sun Valley Ice Show starts at dusk and lasts approx. 70 minutes. Dinner and Show seating available. Show Only option also available. All seating is reserved and advanced reservations are strongly recommended. Headline skaters are subject to change due to injury or other unforeseen circumstances. The show goes on rain or shine!
