12:15 pm
Footlight Dance will be spreading holiday cheer as they bring free performances to the Senior Connection and Silver Creek Living in Hailey, on Friday, December 13. The dancers will perform at 12:20 pm at the Senior Connection and 1:00 pm at Silver Creek Living. This is part of Footlight Dances’ Community Outreach program presented free of charge. Ballet 3, Hailey class, Tap 3 and Teen Hip Hop will be performing. Thirty Elementary, Middle and High School students are dancing in this show. Hilarie Neely, Artistic Director, Robyn Fox and Jen Simpson have choreographed holiday dances that will entertain and bring cheer to one and all. “Dance is an art form that warms the heart when children are dancing,” says director Hilarie Neely. “The students look forward to the holiday season and dancing for our community Seniors.” WT Ellis said it best: “It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.” The seasonal tap, hip hop and ballet pieces are sure to get your spirits ready for the holidays.

ERC Winter Tracking Workshop @ Environmental Resource Center (ERC)
11:00 am
Join the ERC and long-time Wood River Valley resident and tracking extraordinaire, Ann Christensen, for winter tracking workshops. Ann begins each program at the ERC office, introducing participants to our local winter animals, their life-histories and winter adaptations while laying out some basics about tracking. Participants then head outside on a snowshoe tracking adventure through the fields and woods north of town. Ann, who studied with famous tracker and author James Halfpenny, has been introducing valley residents and visitors to the secret stories left in the snow for decades. Bring snowshoes, warm clothes, water, and your curiosity. There is a suggested donation of $10/ERC members and $20/non-members. Space is limited, so register today!
