Company of Fools (COF) is thrilled to announce that actor, producer, director, activist, and writer Demi Moore will join COF founder Denise Simone on the John C. Glenn stage at the Liberty Theatre for an intimate evening of conversation, memories and discussion about Moore’s New York Times No. 1 best-seller Inside Out: A Memoir. This special, one-night-only event will take place Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at 7 p.m. and is a fundraiser for the John C Glenn Legacy Fund.
The John C. Glenn Legacy Fund was established in memory of John Glenn, COF’s Artistic Director and one of the company’s founding members. In 2017, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis gifted the Liberty Theatre to the Sun Valley Center for the Arts as the permanent home of COF. The mission of the John C. Glenn Legacy Fund is to honor John’s memory and raise funds for the long-term preservation and refurbishment of the historic Liberty Theatre.
Demi’s friendship with John was based on their mutual love of style, color and the power of theatre. The two worked together on several productions at The Liberty, including the company’s 2001 production of Side Man, for which Demi found the perfect powder-blue tuxedos for a particular scene. John was thrilled. Demi designed the costumes for many shows with The Fools, including The Philadelphia Story. The two artists worked beautifully together, engaging in discussions about costuming, fashion and color, and always setting a high standard for each other in all of their work on the Liberty stage.
The evening will feature a casual, personal conversation between Moore and Simone, followed by a curated Q&A opportunity for the audience. All audience members will receive a copy of Moore’s new best-selling memoir, Inside Out (see ticket pricing options for more details). The doors of the Liberty Theatre will open at 6:30 p.m.
