This past summer, the Wood River Trails Coalition conducted a comprehensive trail user survey project across many of our community’s most popular trail systems on the Ketchum Ranger District. Through a mix of both survey responses and infrared counter data, we have come to a better understanding of trail user numbers and residency type, spatial and temporal patterns of use, and our users’ preferences for things like trail design, parking availability, and trail information sources. We invite the public to join us for a presentation of the results from this project, in addition to an open-ended discussion about where we go from here with future surveying efforts and a growing trail community in the Wood River Valley. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome!
