Join the Wood River Land Trust on Friday, July 23 from 9-11 am for a 2-hour class on how to take field notes that are informative and artistic. Local artist Poo Wright-Pulliam will start the class with a 45-minute talk about bird anatomy and wildflower anatomy – to help you identify the key elements that will help with identification. After that, you will have the opportunity to sit at the gorgeous Croy Creek Boardwalk to practice sketching and writing your own field notes under the eye of Poo.
Come prepared with a small unlined notebook, and a small set of colored pencils. If you prefer watercolor or any other sketching medium, feel free to bring those, but it isn’t required. Bring a camp chair or stool to sit on, we will have extras as well.
