Sun Valley Museum of Art (SVMoA) is pleased to jump back into presenting films with the reopening of the Magic Lantern Cinemas. New this fall, The Museum will screen films weekly, starting Thursday, Sept. 24, and continuing through December.

This documentary follows Emmy (Mind of a Chef) and James Beard award-winning Chef David Kinch, and his young team from their small 3 Michelin Star restaurant Manresa in California for a one of a kind “four hands” collaboration with three legendary chefs at their iconic restaurants in Provence, Paris, and Marseille. To mark the 15th anniversary of Manresa, Kinch decides to close shop for a month so he and his staff can embark on their France voyage. Planning the trip takes months; to represent the refined Californian cuisine, the team must bring their own seasonings, sauces, and lots of abalone. But the logistics are tricky: how to sneak the food on flights; unfamiliar host kitchens; a language barrier and more.

Tickets for all films are $10 for SVMoA members and $12 for nonmembers. For more information and to reserve tickets (limited seating), please visit www.svmoa.org or call 208.726.9491. There will also be further information about physical distancing on SVMoA’s website.

THIS FILM SCREENING TAKES PLACE AT THE MAGIC LANTERN CINEMAS, KETCHUM AT 7 PM.

NOTE: SVMoA is screening films in 2020 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey on the first Wednesdays of the month and also screens films on Thursdays at 4 pm and 7 pm in partnership with Magic Lantern Cinemas at Magic Lantern’s upstairs location at 100 Second St. West in Ketchum.
