Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association

The Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Assocaition is a 501(c)3 organization that was created in 1972, when the Sawtooth National Recreation Area was established. Our mission is to protect and advance the natural and cultural history of Idaho’s Sawtooth – Salmon River Country through preservation and education. Our funds come from book and map sales, memberships, donations, and grants. To become a member today, click here!

Throughout the Sawtooth – Salmon River Country, we operate many year round book stores, including one at Ketchum Ranger Station, Sawtooth NRA Headquarters, and the Stanley Ranger Station.
