Spas

If you simply need to chill, pamper yourself with a hot-stone massage, facial or acupuncture treatment to relax your mind and revive your senses, you can do that, too.

Fitness and Exercise

Sure, Sun Valley has trails that go on for miles, and hiking up or skiing down Bald Mountain is a sure-fire way to torch some calories.

But, if you’re more in the mood for a good stretch, a core/muscle building workout or a trainer pushing you to try even harder, there are several world class gyms and studios for you to choose from that offer everything from yoga mats to salt water swim lanes.

Fuel up

When looking to nourish from the inside out, there are several go-to spots in Ketchum that serve up tasty bites that are also healthy (most restaurants can also accommodate requests or have some healthy options on their menus). First up is Glow Live Food Café, an all-vegan, raw café serving up breakfast, lunch, smoothies, and juices. The café has sit-down seating available as well as a deli case of items to take to-go and a small store with vitamins, powders, and more for purchase. Try the Thai Noodle Bowl—made with zucchini noodles—or a yummy Power Smoothie.

On Main Street, check out NourishMe, a café and store that features an assortment of organic seasonal produce, locally made and grown foods, bulk items, supplements and wellness products as well as a daily selection of organic, deli-style foods to go or eat in. Fresh house-made soups are prepared Monday-Saturday as well as salads, sauerkrauts, and more.

There are lots of other dining options in town, each with their own selection of healthy eats but these two spots are the main go-tos for nourishing wellness. For other ideas, check out our “Vegetarian and Vegan Guide to Eating in Sun Valley.”

Sun Valley Wellness Festival

The annual wellness festival has been a staple for more than twenty years and the popularity of this event is linked directly to its locale: Sun Valley, Idaho. This community embodies wellness in so many ways from the active lifestyles led by the people who live here to a focus on bettering one’s self mentally and spiritually.

“Mother nature is at its finest here. The air that we have the privilege to breathe, the scenery and the outdoor spaces, the quality of life; we’ve got it. I think everything that wellness represents is here on our trails, our vistas, and our people.”
